Improving the Competitiveness of Export-Oriented Agri-SMEs through Better Factory Capacity Utilization
Satya has focused on scaling up its production of high-value MAP products collected from local farmers and collector groups, including community forest harvesters. Known for its exports of essential oils, botanical extracts, and oleoresins, Satya primarily serves the South Asian region, with plans to strengthen long-term trade with European clients and expand its reach to North America.
Satya’s vision to become a leading MAP and processed MAP products exporter from Nepal aligns with its mission to support the economic growth of farmers, especially women and communities reliant on MAPs for income. To increase its market share in Europe, the company planned to ramp up production, enhance quality, and strengthen marketing efforts. Through CASA’s support, Satya aimed to expand its supply chain, upskill staff, improve raw material aggregation, and achieve international certifications to meet European standards. This project, running from October 2023 to September 2024, aimed to boost Satya’s competitiveness through greater production capacity, superior product quality, and stronger market positioning.
A total of 1,000 farmers will be reached through these efforts, supported by CASA’s technical assistance and grant support. They successfully secured GBP 275,000 in debt investment with CASA’s assistance. Satya targeted these funds for factory and machinery upgrades and improved raw material aggregation, positioning the company for sustained growth in international markets.
